In a world where every strand of hair has a story to tell, there is an artist that listens, styles and colors it into something beautiful. Her name is Sydney Nowlan, and she is a hairstylist here at Nicole's Nu Wave. 

Sydney knows how crazy life can be and wants the salon to be that much needed “me” time. She hopes you feel relaxed and welcomed in her chair and that she can give you a boost of confidence with your updated hairstyle. She cherishes the relationships she forms with her clients and looks forward to watching them, and their kids, grow up. She believes that her work is more than just about hair; it's about making an impact on people's lives.

She pursued her passion at Nova Academy of Cosmetology in Rochester, MN where she was enrolled in the honors program. She also helped out in multiple events in Rochester, one where she cut hair for the less fortunate, a testament to her compassionate spirit and an example of how she uses her craft to touch people's lives in more ways than one. 

Sydney's favorite canvas is medium to long hair, where she can play with layers, face framing and texturizing to craft a unique style. She also likes the occasional clipper cut! Sydney particularly enjoys dimensional colors, gray coverage, and lived in looks. 

Away from the salon, Sydney enjoys the simpler things in life: watching Netflix, crafting, reading books, fishing with her boyfriend and spending time with family and friends. In the end, Sydney Nowlan is not just a hairstylist; she is an artist, a confidante, and a storyteller.
